Since I have ownedthis car for 15 years, it is time to let it go.
I have enjoyed it mainly in the summer to do some oldtimer drives/ meetings and just rides around town.
The car never let me down. Yes of course maintenance was needed over the years, but I mainly did this myself.. I bought the car non running and stored for 10 years and got it up to working again.
- Maintenave overhaul: spark plugs, oils, filters
- Replaced all suspension spheres
- Refurbished brakes completely
- Replaced full interior (got it with no seats)
- Different wheels and tires
- Windscreen replaced (due to crack)
- sills and jack points replaced (welded)
- Wheel bearings done
Besides all this work I have gathered also a lot of parts. over the years which comes with the car:
- set of original wheels
- Full set of original pullman seats (blue) in good condition.
- multiple suspension actuators (very rare and difficult to get by)
- original set of w116 bumpers in perfect condition
- Set of crack free taillights
The car runs and drives of course,. Would be best to get it repainted as the paint is not in perfect condition anymore after nearly 50 years. I don’t mind it, but I just want to be honest.
