El BMW i8 Coupé es un cupé de 2+2 plazas, con un sistema de impulsión híbrido cuya batería se puede recargar en una toma de corriente.
Tiene 374 CV de potencia máxima, 12 más que antes si bien la aceleración, El aumento de potencia se debe al que el motor eléctrico es ahora más potente (143 CV). El de gasolina sigue siendo el mismo tricilíndrico de 231 CV aunque ahora tiene un filtro de partículas para reducir las emisiones de residuos sólidos.

The BMW i8 Coupé is a 2 + 2-seater coupe, with a hybrid drive system whose battery can be recharged from an electrical outlet.
It has 374 hp of maximum power, 12 more than before although acceleration, The increase in power is due to the fact that the electric motor is now more powerful (143 hp). The gasoline is still the same 231 hp three-cylinder although now it has a particle filter to reduce solid waste emissions.
