Fahrzeugbeschreibung
Already legendary. The last completely hand-built Aston, at the same time the first model of a new era for the famous brand. V12 Vanquish.
A bonded aluminum and carbon fiber chassis, developed in collaboration with Lotus. A wonderful V12, 5935cc. A fabulous engine sound. The V12 Vanquish will define the image of the British brand, now and in the future.
It is a first generation Vanquish. A delightful and distinctive Claret leather interior, Cairngorm Gray exterior. A perfect combination. Linn sound system, 2+2, full leather interior. On the Vanquish’s option list, all the boxes are checked.
The Vanquish exudes chic power. A car enthusiast from our network aptly described the difference with a DB9: ‘A Vanquish looks as if his muscles are almost bulging out of his tuxedo!’ And so it is. That powerful hip section at the rear, the ventilation grilles on the hood, the air intakes on each side… All functional, all stylish and powerful. Make no mistake; this design is almost 25 years old and it still looks timeless!
And then that powertrain; a powerful, naturally breathing V12 with a semi-sequential gearbox attached, pure pleasure! No heavy clutch like with a DB7 or V8 Vantage manual. No substantial power loss as with a conventional automatic transmission. A fast-shifting sequential gearbox operated with paddles on the steering wheel.
The sound when downshifting, beautiful. British heritage, enjoy up to and including.
A realistic view is important when assessing a classic of this caliber. Do not be guided by emotions and impressions, even not by a seemingly low price. Facts and documentation are decisive. Look for a well-maintained example with a clean history, not too many owners. Documentation in order. Here too, the V12 ticks all the boxes; Delivered by Cito Aston Martin Eindhoven Netherlands, only 2 owners in total. They both bought the Vanquish from the same company.
The current owner enjoys the Vanquish for no less than 18 years now, which is significant. Obviously in December 2022, only 1,000 km ago, extensive maintenance was carried out by a well-known specialist in the south of The Netherlands. The entire powertrain has been out, an enormous amount of work has been done. All this to keep the Aston reliable, ready for the future. It is a huge list of activities, on which many issues typical for this model have been addressed. Total cost item over €20,000, of course invoices available for inspection and present upon transfer.
With a mileage of only 23,000 and such major maintenance recently carried out, it is abundant to indicate that all things function as they should and there are no defects.
Experts and specialists worldwide agree on one thing; the Vanquish is a milestone in Aston Martin history. A milestone that is perhaps somewhat underestimated today. The production number of only 1503 for the first generation Vanquish together with its historical status guarantee a bright future.
There is still a lot to say about this special classic and youngtimer, but of course you only get a good picture when you view and drive the car. you are very welcome in Uden, the coffee is ready.
